About

Ateliers Sahin,

is a developing brand of handcrafted objects and furniture. Gestating in my mind since my early years studying design at the Fine Art School of Toulouse, the brand stems from a blend of my Vietnamese and Palestinian origins, my 20 years long experience living in France and my various trips to the Near and Middle East, to Southeast Asia, to the Gulf of Guinea and Western Europe. I draw upon my unlimited curiosity, as well as the experiences, cultures and Arts discovered during my travels to shape this line of creation.

Particularly fond of understanding the know-how as an embodiment of cultures, I seek to question these techniques by identifying the cultural blending that influenced this savoir-faire. The essence of the Ateliers Sahin lies in my desire to create handcrafted objects and furniture by hybridizing these heritages, whilst paying a particular attention to the search for new aesthetics and uses. Whether decorative or functional, I merge these features that I deem important by offering you my writing and my story.

Artisans are crucial in my approach to work. To ensure transparency with regard to the origin of our products and to dully acknowledge the contribution of these creators, crafted pieces of Les Ateliers Sahin are co-signed by the artisans we collaborate with.

Between East and West, between traditions and creations, that is where a roving design studio and workshops from diverse horizons come together in this collaborative project.
